DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Macon County Sheriff's Office has seen an uptick in a new scam targeting Decatur residents. A phone call comes from the number (217) 330 - 5179. The caller identifies themselves as Lt. Butts from the Macon County Sheriff's Office. They tell the person receiving the call they have either missed a court date and have a warrant or have failed to pay for a traffic citation.
